The Holidays with The Trail Band concert series benefiting Friends of the Children – Portland is scheduled to make its return to The Aladdin Theater December 2012.
Holidays with The Trail Band is a unique event that attracts music lovers throughout Oregon. The band’s selection of classical and modern holiday music will get you into the holiday spirit. See for yourself why so many people make this their holiday tradition year after year! The band’s selection of classical and modern holiday music creates a wonderful spirit for the holiday season. Enjoy amazing performances from Linda Hornbuckle, former Quarterflash singers Marv and Rindy Ross, Mike Doherty, Cal Scott, Phil and Gayle Neumann, Eddie Parente and Dan Stueber. Also featuring Scott Parker as Harold.
The Thursday night show harkens back to the origins of the Trail Band’s first holiday shows. For one night only the band will present a special performance oof the original “An Old-Fashioned Christmas”. All your family Christmas favorites will be performed including:
- Silent Night
- Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem
- The Halleluiah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah
- Songs from the Nutcracker Suite
- And many more…
Special guests include Linda Hornbuckle singing old favorites and the Oregon Renaissance Band playing Christmas carols on renaissance instruments recently featured on NPR.
When you purchase your ticket you will be supporting Friends of the Children-Portland and the continuation of our mission. Last year alone, Trail Band raised nearly $45,000 to provide Portland’s most vulnerable children with the help they need for success.
